Step-by-step: how to correctly measure the cabinet for new fronts
The order is placed according to the cabinet dimensions (carcass), not the old front. Measure in millimeters and note W × H (width × height) for each unit.

1) Preparation
- Tape measure in mm, marker/post-it, phone for photos.
- Measure at the front of the carcass (from edge to edge), not inside.
- Note on each unit: system (Method/BESTÅ/PAX), position in the room, configuration (1 door/2 doors/drawers).
2) Cabinets with doors (Method, BESTÅ, PAX)
- Measure the width of the unit (mm), from edge to edge.
- Measure the height of the unit (mm), also at the front of the carcass.
- Note 1 door or 2 doors for the same frame; if there are 2, write "left + right".
3) Drawers (Method, BESTÅ)
- Measure the carcass width (mm).
- Count the drawer fronts per column (from top to bottom) and take a picture.
- Note the configuration: "3 equal drawers" or "1 small + 1 medium + 1 large".
4) Special elements
- Built-in appliances/columns: measure the unit; if you want two fronts vertically, write "top + bottom".
- BESTÅ media: note any ventilation/cable routing needs (in observations).
- PAX: specify "solid door" or "2 doors" for each frame.
5) What we DO NOT measure
- We do not measure the old front – we measure the carcass.
- We do not manually deduct "gaps"; the systems are dimensioned for IKEA units.
